This musical beehive is highly committed to offering music education and a broad range of concerts for 10 years now. There's a focus on young and innovative bands with the yearly indoor club festival Play.

Muziekodroom is established in Quartier Canal. In recent years the Quartier Canal in Hasselt - from the ‘Kempische Poort to the Sas’ - has grown from an industrial zone to a creative and hybrid development zone. With the recent arrival of diverse young and dynamical entrepreneurs in places such as KAAI.16, De Silo and VDAB, there is a natural balance between creativity, education, innovation, entrepreneurship and industry. In other words, it’s the new creative hotspot of Hasselt.
