What did you think about Eutropolis?
Posted on February 07 2012 by Greet Roosen
The TEDxEutropolis crew is working hard to get the video's online of last Saturday. In meanwhile, here a grasp out of what you think of the concept "Eutropolis" (more to follow!):
- Borders are only in our minds. If the misplaced submissiveness in the minds of people in the Eutropolis (towards p.e. the Randstad or Brussel) - region would be replaced by courage, those borders wouldn't even exist. (by Patrick van Schenkel, the Netherlands)
- Eutropolis can become a truly transnational and creative hub at the heart of Europe. At the CWF in Hasselt I saw the tremendous opportunities the region has. I hope intercity relations will transcend national borders which even tend to set European union agendas. (by Jan Seurinck, Belgium)
- Bringing together the creative instincts and capabilities of the Aix-la-Chapelle region, truly european and borderless. Whether you spend your entrepreneurial energy in Maastricht, Liege or Aachen doesn´t matter- yet you should be able to bridge the borders more easily than today. (by Malte Pollmann, Germany)
- Simple yet effective: bringing cool people together in the inspiring surrounding of Muziekodroom. (by Kristof Claes, Belgium)
- A platform for idea co-creation for next generation topics. (by Ann Verlinden, Belgium)
- Eutropolis is the heartland of old Europe, we share a great history and we should also share a great future. We should use our shared past to find the communalities that will make our borders fade. Eutropolis could manifest it self as one of the top education regions in Europe (or even the world). (by (Maarten van Wessel, the Netherlands)
